3:
I try to open an EndNote library in an offline folder and get either a "Parameter is incorrect" or "Runtime" error message. Is EndNote compatible with Windows Offline folders?
|
| Answer:
EndNote 8 and 9 are not currently compatible with Windows Offline folders. EndNote 7 and earlier do not have this issue.
To access these libraries with Endnote 8 or 9, simply copy the .enl file and associated .data folder to your local drive, and you should be able to access the library without problems.
Please note that we have resolved this issue with EndNote X.0.2 and later; if you have EndNote X.0.0 you simply need to update to X.0.2.
With Endnote X.0.2 and higher, you must close the library when going offline, and close the library when syncing after returning to online status, or you may receive errors.
