Answer: This is controlled by a setting in your Microsoft Sync application. For the Microsoft ActiveSync application with EndNote X1.0.1 or X2, go to the Tools menu and choose Options, and then select the EndNote component for syncing.

If you are bothered by ActiveSync being initiated every time you cradle your device, or periodically while it is connected, you may want to deselect the EndNote component for automatic syncing.

Note: EndNote X1.0.1 was designed for Windows Mobile 5 and Windows XP. It is not compatible with Windows Vista.
