The standard
5-user Concurrent license
includes 20 SofTrack workstation agents to monitor usage. Each additional
EndNote concurrent license includes four SofTrack
workstation agents. You can also purchase additional SofTrack
workstation agents separately. |

SofTrack is designed for use on any Windows-based workstation,
Macintosh using OSX and all versions of Windows Terminal Server
with any thin client. SofTrack is compatible with all versions of Windows®
and NetWare servers®.

With EndNote and SoftTrack you can:
|
- Provide real-time alerts of license overuse. SofTrack can
be configured to notify selected users automatically when critical
license usage points—90%, 100% and overflow—are reached.
- Create a license request queue. When all licenses are in
use, SofTrack queues users automatically and notifies them instantly
when licenses become available. Once notified, the license is held
open for an administrator-defined period of time. If the user is busy
or away from his or her desk, the license will be returned after the
hold period and the next queued user will be notified.
- Detect idle applications. SofTrack can track idle
application time and warn the user to begin using the application.
SofTrack can even be configured to terminate an application that has
been idle too long.
- Stop multiple application launches per desktop. Ensures
that no more than one instance of an application is running per
desktop at any time.
- Track and assign application licenses by groups and
departments. The SofTrack administrator can determine exactly how many
applications each department uses, enabling charge backs to the departments.
- Support cross-platform license metering. Use SofTrack to
meter both Windows and Macintosh machines from
the same "pool" of licenses.
- Allocate VIP licenses. The SofTrack Administrator can
reserve licenses for key people and ensure that VIPs always have access to the critical applications they
need.
- Meter remote sites. Depending on connectivity such as VPN,
SofTrack can track usage between multiple sites.
